  8. latest model. "Charming," he pronounced. "Really a classic."
  9. Despite age -- a 40th birthday looms this year -- and a slight
  10. paunch, SNOOPY has jumped from his humble doghouse into the
  11. rarefied world of fashion. The little beagle is in Paris for
  12. a grande fete at the Louvre, starting next week with an exhibit
  13. of duds made for him and sister Belle by 150 international
  14. designers. Whether posing in red shoes with purple laces (by
  15. Emanuel Ungaro), shiny black boots (Claude Montana), a
  16. red-and-blue cap (Kenzo) or preening with Belle in Lagerfeld
  17. creations, Snoopy was one haute dog.
